These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of MeetCost.live. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

SECTION 01
Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MeetCost.live ("the Service"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to comply with these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In such cases, "you" refers to that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

SECTION 02
Description of Service

MeetCost.live is a web-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that calculates and tracks the real-time financial cost of business meetings. The Service provides tools including, but not limited to:

  • A live meeting cost timer based on participant count and hourly rates
  • Shareable meeting links for real-time visibility
  • Historical meeting data, cost reports, and analytics
  • Team management and participant categorization features
  • Integration with third-party services including Slack and Google Calendar
  • Export functionality in PDF, CSV, and Excel formats

The features available to you depend on the subscription plan you have selected. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features from any plan at any time, with reasonable prior notice where feasible.

SECTION 03
Accounts & Access
3.1 Account Registration

To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You agree to keep your account information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@meetcost.live if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

3.3 Team Accounts

If you are the administrator of a Team, Business, or Enterprise account, you are responsible for all activity conducted by team members under your workspace. You must ensure that all team members comply with these Terms.

3.4 Free Plan Limitations

Free accounts are subject to usage limits as defined in the current pricing schedule, including a maximum of 3 meetings per month and a maximum meeting duration of 60 minutes. These limits may be modified at our discretion with advance notice.

SECTION 04
Subscription & Billing
4.1 Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at the time of purchase. All fees are stated in US Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise indicated.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through LemonSqueezy, our authorized payment provider and Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy is responsible for handling all financial transactions, applicable sales tax, VAT, and local tax compliance. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to LemonSqueezy's terms of service.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

All paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for the applicable subscription fee.

4.4 Plan Changes

You may upgrade your subscription plan at any time; the change will take effect immediately and you will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.

4.5 Annual Billing

Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for a full 12-month period. Annual plans are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

4.6 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account's Billing settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free plan. We do not provide prorated refunds for monthly subscriptions upon cancellation.

Non-payment: If payment fails or is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to paid features until outstanding amounts are settled.

SECTION 06
Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, interfaces, designs, algorithms, text, graphics, and documentation, is the exclusive property of MeetCost.live and its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

6.2 Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for your internal business purposes.

6.3 Your Data

You retain all ownership rights to the data you input into the Service ("Customer Data"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and use your Customer Data solely as necessary to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6.4 Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use such feedback for any purpose without any obligation to you.

SECTION 07
Data & Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data in connection with the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We are committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws. Enterprise customers may request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) by contacting privacy@meetcost.live.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

SECTION 08
Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy of any cost calculations produced by the Service — meeting cost figures are estimates based on user-provided data and should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party integrations or services (including Slack and Google Calendar) connected to the Service.

We target 99.9% uptime on paid plans. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance via email and our status page. Unplanned outages will be communicated as promptly as possible.

SECTION 09
Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MeetCost.live and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall our total cumulative liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US Dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain types of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

SECTION 10
Termination
10.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through Account Settings → Danger Zone. Termination does not entitle you to any refund of prepaid fees.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or if continued provision of the Service becomes commercially unviable.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately. We may, at our discretion, retain or delete your Customer Data in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable law. Where technically feasible, we will provide a data export option prior to account deletion.

SECTION 11
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If no resolution is reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bratislava, Slovak Republic.

Notwithstanding the above, nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable EU consumer protection law, including the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence.

SECTION 12
Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email to the address associated with your account and/or by displaying a prominent notice within the Service, at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.
